On and off the Field.
Empowered Lacrosse was established to empower girls to find their voice in the world. Our aim is to develop girls’ confidence on and off the field by providing access to all levels of lacrosse and cultivating passion. We strive to introduce lacrosse to communities and support players who endeavor to reach elite levels of play. These are opportunities where girls can grow as people, develop confidence and learn the power of hard work and their own strength – physically and metaphorically.
As the founder of Empowered Lacrosse, my hope is to help another generation experience the same joy and benefits I received through playing lacrosse. Girls are still exposed to unrealistic messages about body image, and strong-willed women are often disparaged in the media. Whereas sports not only develops, but celebrates confidence, strong bodies and strong leaders. It is well established that girls who participate in sports are high achievers in their chosen careers.
